The Trinity Christian School of Griffin LIONS waltzed into their matchup on Monday with nine straight wins but they left with ten. They took down Central Christian 75-58. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Trinity Christian School of Griffin found their leader in underclassman Jaylen Dallas, who scored 21 points along with eight assists and five steals. Dallas is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Rashawn Moton was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with 12 rebounds and four blocks.
Trinity Christian School of Griffin pushed their record up to 14-3 with that win, which was their seventh straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.9 points per game. As for Central Christian, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.
Trinity Christian School of Griffin won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Konos Academy at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Hopefully Konos Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 last Tuesday. Central Christian's road trip will continue as they head out to face Lafayette Christian at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Lafayette Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five contests -- so hopefully Central Christian likes a good challenge.
