Stanwood scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. Everything went their way against Cedarcrest as Stanwood made off with a 78-54 victory. Stanwood has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 24 points or more this season.
Meanwhile, Arlington entered their tilt with Shorecrest with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. Arlington had just enough and edged Shorecrest out 59-56. Given Arlington's advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 14th, while Shorecrest is ranked 231st), the result on Saturday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Stanwood's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-4. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.0 points per game. As for Arlington, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-2 record this season.
