The Christian Heritage Sentinels scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Athens Christian Preparatory Academy 65-38 at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Christian Heritage has managed all season.
Despite the loss, Athens Christian Preparatory Academy still got an impressive performance from Landry Gammon, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds and six steals. Gammon is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Mitchell Koerth was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Christian Heritage's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.6 points per game. As for Athens Christian Preparatory Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 9-6.
Christian Heritage will head out on the road to face off against East Texas Homeschool Sports at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully East Texas Homeschool Sports focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Thursday. As for Athens Christian Preparatory Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Mary's at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Mary's will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
