In other batting news, Kadyn Hines and Jordan Baker did most of the damage at the plate: Hines scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances, while Baker scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2. What's more, Baker posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Cameron Crislip was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases.
James Monroe's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Princeton, they now also have a losing record of 2-3.
James Monroe's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Princeton hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .315. It's a different story for James Monroe, though, as they've only averaged .233. Will they be able to contain Princeton's hitters?
