Highland recap November 5, 2013
Beal City added to the longest winning streak in Highland this week by beating Mio-Au Sable, 69-15. This was the team's 10th consecutive win.
Beal City took down the Thunderbolts 69-15 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Evart's Jacob Fortune and Jacob Hopkins have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Fortune has thrown for 1,684 yards this season, while Hopkins, a 6-foot-1 receiver, has 46 catches for 1,017 yards. McBain's Zach Stephan leads the league in rushing yards with 956.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Beal City takes on second place Lake City.
Stephan has rushed for 956 yards on 142 carries so far this year.
Lake City made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 4,178 from 4,776. The improvement was the result of a 35-12 victory over Whittemore-Prescott last week.
