The Catholic Central Crusaders entered their tilt with the Elmira Express with 13 consecutive wins  but they'll enter their next game with 14. Catholic Central came out on top against Elmira by a score of  69-59  on Monday. Given Catholic Central's advantage  in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings  (they are ranked fifth, while Elmira is ranked 115th), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Catholic Central to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Sei'Mir Roberson, who  scored 26 points along with four  steals.  Xavjon Arroyo was another key contributor,  scoring 14 points along with eight  rebounds.
 Catholic Central pushed their record up to 14-1 with that  win, which was their fifth straight  on the road. As for Elmira, their loss  ended  a  four-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 7-5.
 Catholic Central will head out on the road to  face off against  Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk at 6:30  p.m.  on Friday. As for Elmira, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Vestal at 7:15  p.m.  on January 30th.
