At the plate, Caden Simmers was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, four RBI, and two doubles. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in runs. Turner Ashby always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .697. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Page County only posted an OBP of .364.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Turner Ashby will venture away from home to take on Fort Defiance at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Page County, they will take on East Rockingham at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Page County is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak dating back to last season.
