The Central Bucks South Titans will challenge the Pennridge Rams at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Central Bucks South comes in on three and Pennridge on four.
On Wednesday, Central Bucks South made easy work of Central Bucks West and carried off a 14-6 victory. The result was nothing new for the Titans, who have now won five contests by seven runs or more so far this season.
Meanwhile, Pennridge got the win against Norristown on Friday by a conclusive 14-4.
Averi Dockery made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Lilly Davies was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four runs, one triple, and one RBI. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jadyn Gulbinski, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
Pennridge was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .438. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Pennridge pushed their record up to 8-8 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Central Bucks South, their win bumped their record up to 10-6.
Central Bucks South was able to grind out a solid victory over Pennridge in their previous meeting back in April, winning 6-2. Will the Titans repeat their success, or do the Rams have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
