Hart County hasn't had much luck against Larue County recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Raiders will host the Hawks at 5:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Larue County will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Hart County extended their winning streak to three on Monday. The Raiders put the hurt on Fort Knox with a sharp 19-4 win. While the Raiders didn't have the best season last year (they finished 15-19), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Zak Wilson made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed four innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had over his last four games. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, Brayden Minor and Bryson Huff did most of the damage at the plate: Minor got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, six RBI, and two runs, while Huff went 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Huff is becoming a predictor of Hart County's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 4-0-1 (and 7-8 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Zach Sloan, who scored three runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
Hart County was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .545. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fort Knox only posted a batting average of .250.
Meanwhile, Larue County never let their opponents score on Monday. They blew past Caverna 15-0. The victory was familiar territory for the Hawks, who have now won four matchups in a row.
Hart County's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-8-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Larue County, their win bumped their record up to 13-2-1.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Hart County has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.6 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Larue County struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.9 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Hart County came up short against Larue County in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, falling 3-0. Can the Raiders avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
