This season hasn't been kind to the Yates Center Wildcats, who are still winless after their 12th game. They lost to Oswego at home by a decisive 43-29 margin on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Yates Center of the 53-44 defeat they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2023.
Oswego's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rayden Myers, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Myers has scored all season. Josh Hutchinson was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with six rebounds and five steals.
Yates Center's loss was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-12. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 24.1 points per game. As for Oswego, their victory bumped their record up to 5-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Yates Center will take on the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Oswego, they will head out on the road to square off against the Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Uniontown's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four matchups.
