The Stoneman Douglas Eagles and the Deerfield Beach Bucks squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but sadly the Stoneman Douglas Eagles had to settle for second. They took a 50-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bucks. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Stoneman Douglas in their matchups with the Bucks: they've now lost seven in a row.
It was another big night for Larrisa Francois, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 12 rebounds for Deerfield Beach. The team also got some help courtesy of Tatiana Ramsey, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Stoneman Douglas has not been sharp recently as the team's lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. As for Deerfield Beach, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season.
Stoneman Douglas does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Deerfield Beach will square off against the Sharks at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
