The Trinity Raiders's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their 11th straight loss. They were dealt a 86-38 loss at the hands of Butler County. Trinity has struggled against Butler County recently, as their match on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Butler County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ty Price, who scored 31 points along with two steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Price has scored at least a third of Butler County's points. Lawson Rice was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 12 rebounds.
Trinity dropped their record down to 1-15 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road. As for Butler County, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Trinity will take on Owensboro at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Owensboro has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 418 points over their last six games. As for Butler County, they will be playing at home against Edmonson County at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Edmonson County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Kentucky Rankings (they are ranked 212th, while Butler County is ranked 72nd).
