Bingham has gone 9-1 against Pleasant Grove recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Miners will take on the Vikings at 10:30 a.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Bingham is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They put the hurt on Fremont with a sharp 13-3 victory. The win was familiar territory for the Miners, who have now won five contests in a row.
Kendra Hintze tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Bingham let Jenna Thomas and Kava Haiola run wild. Thomas went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple, while Haiola went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one double. Those four RBI gave Thomas a new career-high. Brooklynn Fogg was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
Bingham always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .647. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Pleasant Grove came tearing into Friday's matchup with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Knights 13-3.
Keslie Draney was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. Draney was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.
In other batting news, Aniston Norton and Mary Severe did most of the damage at the plate: Norton went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs, while Severe went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Grace Norman, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.
Pleasant Grove pushed their record up to 23-6 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Bingham, their victory bumped their record up to 19-8-2.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Bingham hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .350. However, it's not like Pleasant Grove struggles in that department as they've averaged .446. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Bingham's way against Pleasant Grove in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Bingham made off with a 10-3 win. Will the Miners repeat their success, or do the Vikings have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
