The Lansing Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their 11th straight loss. They took a 49-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of West. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Lansing in their matchups with the Chargers: they've now lost three in a row.
Zoe Clark continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for West, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds. Clark is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed four or more in the last three games she's played. Addaline Hall was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with three steals.
Lansing dropped their record down to 1-12 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 27.8 points per game. As for West, their win bumped their record up to 5-8.
Coincidentally, Lansing and the Chargers will both be playing the Pirates the next time they take the court. West will head out to face Piper at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday, while Lansing will head out to face them on Friday.
