The Lovett Lions lost against the Westminster Wildcats back in February of 2020, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Lovett took a hard 62-46 fall against Westminster. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Lovett has scored all season.
Lovett lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kingston Whitty, who scored eight points along with two steals. Darrell Dickens iii was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Lovett's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Westminster, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-5.
Lovett will take on KIPP Atlanta Collegiate at 11:30 a.m. on Monday. KIPP Atlanta Collegiate is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak. As for Westminster, they will head out on the road to take on Clarkston at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Clarkston is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home.
