Foundation Academy skirted past Tohopekaliga 36-33. This was payback for Foundation Academy, who suffered a 43-37 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Foundation Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lily Holloman led the charge by scoring four points along with six rebounds and three steals. Holloman is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last ten games she's played. Ava Chmielinski was another key contributor, scoring six points along with two steals.
Foundation Academy's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-7. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.3 points per game. As for Tohopekaliga, their loss dropped their record down to 13-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Foundation Academy will play host again and welcome The Villages Charter, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Monday. That game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Zion Mcrae and Avery Michels. As for Tohopekaliga, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Life Christian Academy at 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Life Christian Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 476th, while Tohopekaliga is ranked 225th).
