Basketball Game Preview: The O'Neal School Falcons vs. Northwood Temple Academy Eagles

It'll be Battle of the Birds when the The O'Neal School Falcons duke it out with the Northwood Temple Academy Eagles at 5:00 p.m. The O'Neal School has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

The O'Neal School is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took their game on Thursday with ease, bagging a 68-14 win over Village Christian Academy. The Falcons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 23 points or more this season.

The O'Neal School's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Judah Sibley led the charge by going 9 of 13 on her way to 24 points in addition to seven rebounds and five steals. The matchup was Sibley's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Joelle Cole, who went 9 for 14 on her way to 20 points and eight steals.

The O'Neal School smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in 11 consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Northwood Temple Academy played a tough contest on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by Trinity Christian and fell 66-27. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-9.

Northwood Temple Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for The O'Neal School, their victory bumped their record up to 7-5.

Everything came up roses for The O'Neal School against Northwood Temple Academy when the teams last played back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 61-17 win.
