Antioch got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Abbigail Fuesting out in front who rushed for 99 yards and one TD, and also picked up 64 receiving yards and one touchdown. Tanner Ludwig was another key signal caller, throwing for 276 yards and three touchdowns.
Antioch didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Reese Queensland.
Despite the loss, Huntley saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Evelyn Freundt picked up 142 receiving yards and one score. Aubrina Adamik also helped out with an impressive 80 receiving yards.
The victory was the fifth in a row for Antioch, bringing their record up to 17-5. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 3.8 points on average over those games. As for Huntley, they moved to 16-5 with that defeat, which also ended their six-game winning streak.
Antioch has already played their next contest, a 26-12 victory against Round Lake on the 13th. Huntley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
