The Henrietta Bearcats will head out on the road to square off against the Gunter Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Henrietta is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak.
Last Tuesday, Henrietta ended up a good deal behind Jacksboro and lost 69-50. Henrietta has struggled against Jacksboro recently, as their match on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, even though Pottsboro scored an imposing 61 points on Friday, Gunter still came out on top. Gunter narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Pottsboro 63-61. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Gunter has posted yet this season.
Henrietta's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 5-14. As for Gunter, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-9.
Henrietta suffered a grim 54-33 defeat to Gunter in their previous matchup back in January of 2023. Can Henrietta avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
