The Clermont Northeastern Rockets fought the good fight in their overtime match against the Georgetown G-Men on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 57-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the G-Men. Clermont Northeastern was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Georgetown apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2023.
Among those leading the charge was Emily Bertram, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and five steals. Those five steals set a new season-high mark for her. Gabrielle Ernst was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five rebounds.
Clermont Northeastern bumped their record down to 3-10 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Georgetown, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-6.
Clermont Northeastern will be playing at home against East Clinton at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Georgetown, they will head out on the road to face off against Blanchester at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
