The Seaforth Hawks will head out on the road to square off against the Southeast Alamance Stallions at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Seaforth came into Tuesday's match having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They blew past North Moore 83-61. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Noah Lewis continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 11 assists. Another player making a difference was Campbell Meador, who scored 12 points along with six assists and two steals.
Meanwhile, Southeast Alamance had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.8 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They walked away with a 76-65 win over Bartlett Yancey. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Seaforth's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-13. As for Southeast Alamance, they now have a winning record of 11-10.
Things could have been worse for Seaforth, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 70-52 loss to Southeast Alamance in their previous matchup two weeks ago. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Southeast Alamance's Jerry Sims, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and ten rebounds. Now that Seaforth knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
