Garrison is 1-0 against Grapeland since October of 2022, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Garrison Bulldogs will head out on the road to face off against the Grapeland Sandies at 7:00 p.m. Garrison is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
Two weeks ago, Garrison took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 49-14 win over Shelbyville. Fans of Garrison have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season ended as a blowout.
Omarion Rasberry continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 128 yards and four touchdowns on only ten carries. Rasberry is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last four games he's played. Javien Black also helped out as he racked up 123 rushing yards.
Meanwhile, Grapeland pushed their score all the way to 36 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a serious blow against Shelbyville, falling 64-36. Grapeland has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Garrison's victory bumped their season record to 7-0 while Grapeland's defeat dropped theirs to 2-6.
Everything came up roses for Garrison against Grapeland in their previous meeting back in October of 2022 as the squad secured a 56-8 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Garrison since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
