Seaside is 1-9 against the Trojans since January of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Seaside Spartans will be playing in front of their home fans against the Alisal Trojans at 7:00 p.m. Seaside knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matches -- so hopefully the Trojans like a good challenge.
Seaside scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They came out on top against St. Francis by a score of 73-66. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Meanwhile, Alisal pushed their score all the way to 56 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Marina by a score of 58-56.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Adrian Cardenas, who scored six points along with 13 assists and eight rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted eight or more assists the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kike Jacinto, who scored 15 points along with three steals.
Seaside's win bumped their record up to 11-14. As for Alisal, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-5.
Seaside came up short against the Trojans in their previous meeting back in January, falling 69-58. Will Seaside have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other basketball content.
