Venice added to the longest winning streak in 6A District 7 this week by beating Dixie Hollins, 48-3. The victory was the fourth in a row for the Indians.
Venice took down the Rebels 48-3 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Dixie Hollins' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Tyrie Adams threw for 271 yards and Jacquez Hill had 99 yards receiving. On the ground Kabriel Jackson chipped in 24 yards. Marcus Smith helped Dixie Hollins' passing attack out by catching 6 balls for 76 yards.
Hill was the best wideout in the league this week as Shannon Brooks' team fell to John Peacock's team. Hill tallied 6 receptions for 99 yards. Smith helped Dixie Hollins' passing attack out by catching 6 balls for 76 yards.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, the Rebels' Adams and Hill have proven to be a lethal combination. 6-3 quarterback Adams has thrown for 1,041 yards this season, while Hill has 26 catches for 463 yards. Jamil Morris from Osceola leads the league in rushing with 531 yards.
Dixie Hollins made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 5,879 from 6,249. The advance stemmed from a 48-3 victory over the Rebels last week.
