The East Central Hornets will venture away from home to  face off against the George County Rebels  at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their  contests after big wins in their previous games.
Last Friday, East Central made easy work of Gulfport  and carried off  a  7-1 win. Considering the Hornets have won three matchups by more than five  runs this season, Friday's  blowout was nothing new.
 East Central saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Kailee Lawson, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-2. Another  was  Valerie Merrill, who  got  no  hits from her two  at bats.
Meanwhile, George County put another one in the bag  on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Greene County  a   7-0 shutout. The Rebels are also no stranger to big wins: their blowout  was the third  game they've won by 6+  runs  this season.
George County also got a great performance from  Addison Davis as she  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only two  hits over five innings pitched.
 At the plate,  Jordyn Bradley was  excellent,  scoring two  runs and  stealing three bases while  getting on base  in both of her plate appearances. That's the most  stolen bases  she has posted since back in April of 2024.  Paisley Pipkins also deserves some recognition as  she  hit her first  double of the season.
 George County  hit smart and  finished the game with only two  strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  struck out at most four  strikeouts in three consecutive  contests.
 East Central is  on a roll lately: they've  won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record  this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 10.4 runs over those games. George County pushed their record up to 5-0 with the  victory, which was their fourth straight  at home.
 Both East Central and George County just can't seem to miss. East Central has been making plenty of contact this season,  having  averaged 10.3  hits per game. However, it's not like George County struggles in that department as   they've been averaging  only 3.4  hits.
