Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Oak Hills Bulldogs, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They were just a hair shy of victory on Friday and fell 34-33 to Warren. Oak Hills' defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.
Warren was led to victory by Kelton Strickland and Madden Iamaleava. Strickland rushed for 164 yards and a touchdown while picking up 10.3 yards per carry, while Iamaleava threw for 317 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.7 yards per attempt. Iamaleava has been hot recently, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last six times he's played. Jordan Ross was in the mix as well, providing Warren with two touchdowns.
Oak Hills' loss dropped their record down to 10-2. As for Warren, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-2.
Oak Hills does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Warren will be playing in front of their home fans against Chaminade at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (Chaminade is ranked 44th, while Warren is ranked 28th).
