Rogers and Bonney Lake are an even 3-3 against one another since April of 2017, but likely not for long. The Rams will square off against the Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Rogers is coming into the contest hot, having won their last seven games.
On Tuesday, Rogers got the win against Spanaway Lake by a conclusive 19-1. That looming 19-1 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Rams yet this season.
Emma Mitchell (2028) made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and not a single walk). Mitchell (2028) was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That double marked the first that she has hit this season.
In other batting news, Aubree Pollard (2027) was incredible, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Payton Walling (2027) was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Bonney Lake took on Emerald Ridge on Thursday. The Panthers fell 9-4 to the Jaguars. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Jaguars: they've now lost three in a row.
Bonney Lake saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gigi Bell, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.
Rogers' record now sits at 7-2. As for Bonney Lake, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-2.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Rogers has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 12.2 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Bonney Lake struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.4 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Rogers skirted past Bonney Lake 2-0 in their previous matchup back in April of 2025. Do the Rams have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
