Gosnell is 0-3 against Pocahontas since April of 2016 but things could change on Tuesday. The Pirates will be playing at home against the Redskins at 4:30 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Gosnell 2.6, Pocahontas 4.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Gosnell is headed into the match having just posted their closest win since March 11th on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out Westside 2-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Pirates.

Avery McHan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Sarah Thompson was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run was her first of the season.
Pocahontas came out on top against Highland on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive 14-run fourth inning. The Redskins put the hurt on the Rebels with a sharp 20-4 victory. The result was nothing new for the Redskins, who have now won seven games by seven runs or more so far this season.
The team relied heavily on Violet Lynch, who went 3-for-4 with six RBI, three doubles, and two runs. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Conway, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and one double.
Pocahontas is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.9 runs over those games. As for Gosnell, their victory bumped their record up to 10-5.
Gosnell's speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's match. The Pirates have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.3 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Pocahontas, though, as they've been averaging only 1.3 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Gosnell continue to outrun the ball?
Gosnell suffered a grim 13-0 defeat to Pocahontas in their previous meeting back in April of 2017. Will the Pirates have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more softball content.
