Reagan Davis and Kenli Dobie certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Another player making a difference was Katie Waddle, who scored three points along with seven rebounds and two blocks.
Even though they lost, Palmer smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive rebounds. This was only their 15th loss (out of 23 games) when they hit their own glass that hard.
Saniya Burks was her usual excellent self, scoring 29 points along with eight rebounds and five steals for Rice. That makes it 22 consecutive games in which Burks has scored at least a third of Rice's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaliyah Nezar, who scored 19 points.
