The matchup between Elgin and Lake Park on Wednesday hardly resembled the 2-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Maroons put the hurt on the Lancers with a sharp 7-2 win. The result was nothing new for Elgin, who have now won six games by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit Lake Park with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Leilani Arroyo (2), Ximena Magana (2), Michelle Moreno (2), and Michelle Ayala.

Elgin pushed their record up to 11-0-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 26 goals over those five contests. As for Lake Park, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.

Coming up, Elgin will be playing in front of their home fans against Streamwood at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lake Park, they are taking a road trip to face off against St. Charles East at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Charles East will roll in looking for their 14th straight victory, something Lake Park surely won't give up without a fight.
