A.L. Brown and Cox Mill are an even 4-4 against one another  since October of 2017, but  not for long. The Wonders will be playing in front of their home fans against the Chargers  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Cox Mill took a loss in their last  matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on A.L. Brown, who comes in off a win.
On Friday, A.L. Brown strolled past Hickory Ridge with  points to spare, taking the game  28-14. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for the Wonders.

It was another big night for  Lemar Grier, who rushed for 182 yards and three  scores. With that strong performance,  he is now averaging an impressive 104  rushing yards per game.
 Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something A.L. Brown proved: they limited Hickory Ridge to a paltry 1.3 yards per carry. The team can thank  Gavin Yow for the heroic effort on defense: he. The dominant display was nothing new: A.L. Brown has now limited their opponent to fewer and fewer yards per carry in three consecutive  contests.
 A.L. Brown's defense didn't let  Braden Barberio, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for five sacks. Leading the way was  Dhilyn Hollis with  three. He is also on a roll when it comes to  total tackles, as he's  now  made six or more in each of the last nine games he's  played dating back to last season. A.L. Brown received some extra help from  Hezzi Allison, whose fumble return for a touchdown  made for one of the most unforgettable moments.
Meanwhile, Cox Mill fought the good fight in their overtime  game against West Cabarrus  on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They were just a  hair shy of victory  and fell  35-34 to the Wolverines. The Chargers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 A.L. Brown will have to contain  Sione Latimore as he made an impact in Cox Mill's last game. He picked up 187 receiving yards and three  TDs. Latimore's longest reception was for an incredible 85 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of  Carter Casteel, who threw for 278 yards and three  touchdowns.
 Cox Mill's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for A.L. Brown, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.
Friday's   matchup might be decided in the trenches. A.L. Brown has been unstoppable on the ground this season,  having  averaged 204  rushing yards per game. It's a different story for Cox Mill, though, as  they've been averaging  only 73.4  rushing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant running game?
 A.L. Brown beat Cox Mill 21-14  in their previous meeting  back in October of 2024. Will the Wonders repeat their success,  or do  the Chargers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
