Crestview is 9-1 against Memorial since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Rebels will head out on the road to square off against the Red Devils at 5:00 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
While Crestview didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Brookfield a 21-0 shutout on Tuesday. The win was nothing new for the Rebels as they're now sitting on three straight.
Emma Snyder made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs while going 2-for-4. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Brenna Figley was a standout: she went a perfect 5-for-5 with one home run, four runs, and four RBI. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 2.2 runs per game. Skyler Graham also deserves some recognition as she got her first hits of the season.
Crestview was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .659. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .400 or higher in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Memorial had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Tigers as they made off with a 13-5 victory. The result was nothing new for the Red Devils, who have now won four contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Memorial got a massive performance out of Liv Miranda, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Mileena Williams, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
Crestview's record now sits at 5-1-1. As for Memorial, their record is now 4-2.
Thursday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Crestview has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .523. However, it's not like Memorial struggles in that department as they've averaged .472. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Crestview skirted past Memorial 8-7 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rebels since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
