The Legacy Prep Christian Academy Lions came tearing into Friday's match with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They took down St. Pius X 60-42.
Leading Legacy Prep Christian Academy to victory were Charlotte Freeman and Molly Steed. Freeman dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds, while Steed dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds. Steed is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now stole two or more in the last nine games she's played. Another player making a difference was Ava Brieger, who scored 7 points.
Legacy Prep Christian Academy has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. As for St. Pius X, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-3.
