Even though the Creekside Seminoles scored an imposing 63 points on Saturday, the Mays Raiders still came out on top. Mays enjoyed a cozy 78-63 victory over Creekside. Given Mays' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 70th, while Creekside is ranked 439th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Derron Lindsey ii, who scored 25 points along with six assists and six rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last eight games he's played. Another player making a difference was Germani Wilson, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 15 rebounds.
The victory makes it two in a row for Mays and bumps their season record up to 10-4. As for Creekside, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.
Mays will head out on the road to square off against Villa Rica at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Villa Rica is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home. Creekside will take on Chapel Hill at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
