Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask California Lutheran). They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat the La Sierra Academy Knights 79-22. The C-Hawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 23 points or more this season.

California Lutheran was led to victory by Ethan Ash and Tyler Treder. Ash dropped a double-double on 31 points and ten rebounds, while Treder dropped a double-double on 25 points and 12 boards. That makes it four consecutive games in which Ash has scored at least a third of California Lutheran's points. Jonas Vogel was another key player, putting up three points and ten boards.

California Lutheran smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in seven consecutive matches.

California Lutheran is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.6 points per game. As for La Sierra Academy, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

California Lutheran will be playing in front of their home fans against Hesperia Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. California Lutheran knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven games -- so hopefully Hesperia Christian likes a good challenge.
