In what's become a running theme this season, the Morrice Orioles gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They blew past Webberville 52-25 at home. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Morrice also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
Leading Morrice to victory were Payton Goodine and Aubrey Rogers. Goodine scored 17 points along with five steals, while Rogers almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds. Rogers hasn't dropped below two steals for 11 straight games. Alexa Rose was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with 13 rebounds and four steals.
Morrice's win bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Webberville, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Morrice will take on St. Patrick at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. St. Patrick will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something Morrice surely won't give up without a fight. As for Webberville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Byron at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Byron is coming into the match with seven straight defeats on the road, so Webberville is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum.
