Marco Castro Delivers Electric Effort Vs Highland
Thanks in part to Marco Castro, Kankakee Valley said goodbye to their five-game losing streak. Nobody could stop Castro on Friday as he rushed for 213 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.8 yards per carry, and also picked up 32 receiving yards. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 105 rushing yards dating back to last season.
Castro is probably looking forward to his next game, a home matchup against Munster on Friday. Castro rushed for 320 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 10.7 yards per carry the last time he and the Mustangs duked it out back in October of 2023.

Shearer Came Up Big in Hobart's 61-58 Loss
Hobart had to settle for second on Friday, but Willy Shearer sure wasn't going down easily. Shearer was unstoppable, rushing for 79 yards and three touchdowns. He has become a key player for Hobart: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 2-3 otherwise.
Unfortunately for Hammond Morton, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Shearer. Shearer rushed for 230 yards and five touchdowns the last time he and the Governors duked it out back in October of 2023.

Brody Kalwinski Dazzles in Lowell Victory
Winning always takes teamwork, but on Friday Brody Kalwinski stepped things up a notch to give Lowell the 'W'. Kalwinski was dynamite, rushing for 43 yards and two touchdowns, while also throwing for 123 yards and a touchdown on only seven passes.
Unfortunately for Munster, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Kalwinski. When Kalwinski last faced the Mustangs back in October of 2023, he rushed for 103 yards and three touchdowns on only nine carries, and also threw for 39 yards and a touchdown.

Diego Arroyo Turns in Season-Best Effort
Kankakee Valley was led to victory by Diego Arroyo, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Arroyo rushed for 22 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 127 yards and a touchdown on only ten passes.

Colton Scott Delivers Best Performance of Season
Colton Scott produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Lowell to the win on Friday. Scott rushed for 85 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 56 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
Munster's probably not too fond of Scott given he always seems to get the better of them. Scott rushed for 118 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries the last time he and the Mustangs duked it out back in October of 2023.
