While Benson's win against Santa Cruz Valley wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bobcats narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Dust Devils 5-3. The Bobcats haven't had any issues with the Dust Devils recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Kolttin Deskins was excellent, going 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Jason Santo, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Benson's victory bumped their record up to 16-12-1. As for Santa Cruz Valley, they dropped their record down to 18-7 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Coming up, Benson will face off against Round Valley at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Bobcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Elks have averaged an impressive 13.6 runs per game this season. Santa Cruz Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
