It was a good run, but Lake Catholic unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 66-59 to the Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin Lions. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 269th, while the Lions are ranked 128th).

When it comes to explaining why Lake Catholic lost, don't look at Ace Peterlin. Despite the final result, he went 9 of 15 en route to 22 points and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Frankie Trinetti, who posted eight points and six rebounds.

Lake Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin, their victory bumped their record up to 12-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lake Catholic will take on Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
