The Lawrence County Red Devils's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They lost to West Point at home by a decisive 56-38 margin. Lawrence County has struggled against West Point recently, as their match on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Kylie Graham and Ava Boyll certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Graham dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds, while Boyll scored 12 points along with six rebounds. Those 13 points set a new season-high mark for her.
Lawrence County has not been sharp recently, as they've lost nine of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season. As for West Point, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-3.
Lawrence County will head out on the road to face off against Russellville at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. As for West Point, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Brewer at 6:30 p.m. Brewer is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
