Leonardtown has played every game this season on their home court, but they'll have to hit the road on Thursday. They will square off against the Urbana Hawks at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Leonardtown focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 on Saturday.
Winning is just a little bit easier when you drain five more threes than your opponent, a fact Leonardtown proved. They came out on top against Roosevelt by a score of 45-33.
Teonne Thomas was the offensive standout of the contest as she dropped a double-double on 16 points and 14 rebounds. Abbey Robrecht was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Meanwhile, Urbana sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 30-27 victory over Eleanor Roosevelt on Saturday. The victory was just what Urbana needed coming off of a 58-36 defeat in their prior matchup.
The victory got Leonardtown back to even at 1-1. As for Urbana, their victory bumped their record up to 1-2.
