The South Wake Sabres waltzed into their match Saturday with two straight wins but they left with three. They came out on top against Oak Forest by a score of 71-59. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
South Wake's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tyler Woolard led the charge by scoring ten points along with three steals. Those three steals set a new season-high mark for him. Jacob Webb was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with seven rebounds and three steals.

South Wake will be playing in front of their home fans against Guilford Home Educators on Monday. Guilford Home Educators will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 544th, while South Wake is ranked 161st). As for Oak Forest, they will head out on the road to face off against Wake Christian Academy at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Wake Christian Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully Oak Forest likes a good challenge.
