The Northwestern Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their seventh straight defeat. They fell 63-52 to Southeastern Local. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Northwestern of the 65-53 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2023.
Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brock Bishop, who scored 11 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Bishop has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason McDermott, who scored ten points.
Northwestern has been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season. As for Southeastern Local, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northwestern will take on Bethel at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Northwestern is coming into the match with five straight defeats at home, meaning Bethel will have to defend against a squad hungry for a win. Southeastern Local will take on Madison Plains at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
