Gavin Hardeman's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Lyons-Decatur Northeast over Bancroft-Rosalie
Starting off the list is Lyons-Decatur Northeast's Gavin Hardeman, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Hardeman rushed for 248 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.3 yards per carry. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rushing yards.
Bancroft-Rosalie had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Hardeman it was a similar story. Hardeman rushed for 73 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries the last time he and the Panthers duked it out back in September of 2023.

Big Game from Buchholz As Bancroft-Rosalie Won 54-42
Bancroft-Rosalie picked up their seventh consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Nick Buchholz. Buchholz did his part (and then some), throwing for 277 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 11.1 yards per attempt, and also rushing for 37 yards and two touchdowns for the 'W'.
Buchholz must have Lyons-Decatur Northeast's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. Buchholz rushed for 42 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 135 yards and a touchdown on only ten passes the last time he and the Cougars duked it out back in September of 2023.

Graysen Briggs and Co. Win Seventh in a Row
Bancroft-Rosalie picked up their seventh consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Graysen Briggs. Briggs did his part (and then some), rushing for 108 yards and a touchdown for the 'W'. His longest rush was for an incredible 75 yards.
Briggs must have Lyons-Decatur Northeast's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. Back in September of 2023 (the last time Briggs saw the Cougars), he rushed for 171 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries.

Braylon Wegner's big game helped extend Bancroft-Rosalie's winning streak to seven on Friday. Wegner turned in nothing short of a gem, picking up 142 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Lyons-Decatur Northeast's probably not too fond of Wegner given he always seems to get the better of them. Back in September of 2023 (the last time Wegner saw the Cougars), he picked up 108 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Landen Cooper Turns in Season-Best Performance
Sadly, Landen Cooper posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Lyons-Decatur Northeast over Bancroft-Rosalie on Friday. Cooper rushed for 221 yards and a touchdown while picking up 10.5 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 52 yards.
This year, Cooper has run in 8 touchdowns while averaging 125.6 rushing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after seven games last season, he was only averaging 68.57 rushing yards per game.
