It was a good run, but the Life Center Academy Warriors unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Monday. They fell 81-72 to Our Saviour Lutheran. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Life Center Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Isaac Moore, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 16 rebounds. Moore hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Elijah Brown, who scored 19 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Life Center Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 18-8. As for Our Saviour Lutheran, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Life Center Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against New Foundations at 5:30 p.m. on January 16th. New Foundations will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 364th in Pennsylvania, while Life Center Academy is ranked 132nd in New Jersey). Our Saviour Lutheran on the road again on Saturday and play against Broome Street Academy at 12:00 p.m. on January 20th.
