Section 4 C Division III recap November 5, 2013
Chenango Forks extended the longest winning streak in Section 4 C Division III this week by beating Lansing, 48-26. The victory was the seventh in a row for the team.
Chenango Valley took down Edison 49-7 last week, the largest margin of any game. Bryan Pert threw for 106 yards and 1 touchdown and ran for 66 yards during the win.
The Warriors' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Aaron Trumino contributed 105 yards. Trumino helped Chenango Valley's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 25 yards.
Gavin Ashman was the best wideout in the league this week as Chenango Valley bested the Spartans. Ashman racked up 4 receptions for 81 yards. Trumino helped Chenango Valley's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 25 yards.
The Warriors' Pert and Ashman led the league in both passing and receiving yards. 5-11 quarterback Pert has thrown for 928 yards this season, while Ashman has 35 catches for 535 yards. Vincent Darpino from Newark Valley leads the league in rushing with 519 yards.
Chenango Valley led Section 4 C Division III in scoring this week after putting up 49 points on Edison. Pert ran for 66 yards in the win.
