After flying high against Wilson Area  last Thursday, Salisbury Township came back down to earth. The Falcons fell just short of the Notre Dame-Green Pond Crusaders by a score of  4-3 on Wednesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Falcons of the  4-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in April of 2024.

 Tessa Kemmerer was huge no matter where she played even without the win. She  struck out six batters over  six innings while giving up just two earned  (and two unearned) runs off   seven  hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  tossed less than six  strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-3 with one  run and one  double.
 In other batting news,  Sophia Gunning was cooking despite her team's loss,   going 1-for-3 with one  home run and two  runs. That  home run marked the first that  she has  launched this season.  Gianna Olds was another key player,  going 3-for-4 with two  RBI.
Salisbury Township has  been struggling recently as they've  lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-9-1 record  this season. As for Notre Dame-Green Pond, their record now sits at 10-5.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Salisbury Township will square off against Saucon Valley at 11:00  a.m.  on Saturday. As for Notre Dame-Green Pond, they will face off against Executive Education Academy Charter School at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Crusaders are facing the Raptors at the right time seeing as the Raptors are stuck on  a  three-game losing streak.
