Ty Thompson posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Thursday. As a matter of fact, he produced his best game of the campaign: he struck out five batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.
