Volleyball Recap: Edgewood Wins Going Away Against Space Coast

Edgewood won the last time they faced Space Coast and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Red Wolves blew past the Vipers 3-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Red Wolves.

While Edgewood won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-16, 25-19.

Edgewood found their leader in sophomore Erica Flagg, who had ten digs and two aces.

Haley Cowling and Shelby White certainly did their best on Wednesday to avoid the loss. Cowling had 21 digs and one assist, while White had 14 digs. Cowling is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least 21 every time she's taken the court this season.

Edgewood's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Space Coast, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Edgewood wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy on the 21st. As for Space Coast, they will venture away from home to challenge Titusville at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
