When it comes to explaining why Cornerstone Charter Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Omar Vincent. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds. Jayden Lebron was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six rebounds.
Liberty was led to victory by Genola Thermozier and Mike Thelusme. Thermozier scored 15 points along with five rebounds, while Thelusme scored 17 points. The matchup was Thermozier's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lawrence Kelley, who scored nine points.
Cornerstone Charter Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Liberty, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Cornerstone Charter Academy will head out on the road to face off against Altamonte Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Altamonte Christian will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Liberty, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Haines City at 7:30 p.m.
